Anycubic Kobra 3: specs, power draw and high-speed printing

The Kobra 3 is Anycubic's mid-budget, high-speed, open-frame model aimed at fast PLA/PETG printing.

Key specs

• Build volume: 250 × 250 × 260 mm (about 16.25 L of usable volume).
• Speed: up to 600 mm/s, print temperature up to 300°C.
• Power draw: ~180 W at steady-state PLA printing (220°C nozzle, 55°C bed), ~8 W idle. Peak draw up to 700 W occurs briefly while the bed and nozzle heat up.

Who it suits

• Shops where print speed matters for small and medium PLA/PETG batches, without investing in an enclosed chamber.
• An addition to a printer fleet for running several orders in parallel.

What to watch for in cost calculation

The 700 W peak lasts only during heat-up — for hourly print cost it's more accurate to budget the ~180 W average, otherwise electricity in the calculation comes out several times too high.
