Cloud autobackup: Yandex.Disk and Google Drive

How to set up automatic backups on the website (Web Plus) and restore from the backup history.

Cloud autobackup saves copies on a schedule by itself and keeps a version history. On the website it is available on the Web Plus plan.

How it works

  1. "Settings → Backups" → the "Yandex.Disk" or "Google Drive" tab. On other plans you will see a blurred preview with a prompt to connect Web Plus.
  2. Click "Connect" and grant access in the Yandex or Google window. The connection must be completed in the same browser where you started it.
  3. After connecting, backups are created on a schedule without your involvement.
  4. The tab shows the backup history with creation times.
  5. To restore, click restore next to the entry you need. You do not have to download the file again.
  6. To disconnect, unlink the account on the same tab. New backups will stop being created, while those already made stay in your cloud.

In the app, Basic and above have their own cloud backup, and the schedule for automatic backups in the app is on the Pro plan.

FAQ

Do I need to make backups manually? One connected cloud is enough, but before risky changes it is better to make a backup manually.

How is this different from file storage? Cloud backup stores data, not photos and 3D files; it does not take up space in your storage.

If something goes wrong

The connection did not complete — repeat it in the same browser. A backup was not created — check that the connection is active and your Web Plus plan has not expired.
