API tokens and webhooks

In brief: how to issue an access token, set up notifications to external systems, and where to find developer documentation.

Tokens and webhooks let you connect 3D Print Pricing to Home Assistant, Discord, Slack, n8n or your own scripts. Full documentation with a sandbox is on the developers page.

How it works

Access token.

  1. Open "Settings → Integrations → Developers → Access tokens".
  2. Create a token and choose its lifetime: 30 days, 90 days, 1 year (default) or no expiry. You can have up to 10 active tokens.
  3. Copy the token right away. You will get an email about the token being created — if it was not you, delete the token.
  4. Create a separate token for each integration so you can revoke one without affecting the others.

A token gives access to orders, printers, filaments, calculation and webhooks. It does not manage the account: it cannot issue tokens, make a backup, change the password or email, delete the account, invite people, end sessions, send documents by email, or send pause or stop commands to a printer.

Webhooks. In "Integrations → Developers", add a channel: your own URL, Home Assistant, Discord or Slack. The URL must be a public https address. For each channel you select events with checkboxes: new order, order status change, print finished, print error, filament running low, new request from the makers catalog, invoice paid by the client. Older channels keep two order events; new ones are enabled manually. The request body is signed; data examples are on the developers page.

FAQ

My integration suddenly stopped working. The token may have expired — create a new one.

Are deliveries retried if the receiver is unavailable? No, delivery is without retries.

If something goes wrong

The token returns a 401 error — it has expired or been deleted. A webhook does not arrive — check that the URL is a public https address and the right events are ticked.
