Workshop directory: requests and profile

How to get listed in the public directory for free, receive requests from customers and turn them into orders.

The workshop directory is a public page where customers look for a 3D printing provider by city. Listing is free for makers.

How it works

  1. Open your workshop account and fill in the profile: description, city, portfolio (up to 12 photos), equipment and prices. The profile goes through moderation. After approval, the city can't be changed.
  2. The city is matched against a directory of about 150 Russian cities: "Piter", "spb" and "Saint Petersburg" are one city. You can also enter your own city. A city page with fewer than three makers opens but is not indexed by search engines.
  3. There are two kinds of requests: personal (a form on your profile) and "to the city" (sent to all available makers in the city, first to take it gets it). Only the one who takes a request sees the customer's contacts. A "to the city" request expires after 24 hours if nobody takes it.
  4. "Take the job" creates an order and a client. If you're on Lite and the client limit is used up, you will see a warning that the client was not added.
  5. The customer tracks the request through their own link and can leave a review after completion; you can manage reviews in your account. After your fifth order, the app suggests creating a profile.

Notifications about requests and reviews arrive in Telegram and webhooks; see Telegram.

FAQ

Is listing paid? No, it's free for workshop owners.

Can I put a widget on my own website? Yes, see the "Price from STL" widget.

If something is wrong

The profile isn't published: it's still under moderation. A request disappeared: 24 hours passed or another maker took it.
