Operator and modeling rates, defects and rounding
How to set the standard labor pay, the defect percentage and price rounding for all new calculations.
These values are filled into every new calculation. You can always change them in the calculator itself.
How it works
Open "Settings → Calculations".
- Operator rate. Turn it on and choose the charging mode: per order, per piece, or per model in the order. Enter the amount. On the Pro plan and above, the operator rate is also available in the app.
- Modeling. A separate rate for 3D modeling with the same three modes.
- Painting. The rate for painting an item.
- Defect rate. Increases material consumption and builds into the cost the fact that part of a batch is scrapped.
- Price rounding. No rounding, to a whole number, or to tens.
In the order card, the defect allowance and other items that the order does not store separately are shown as a line "Other costs (defects, etc.)" — so the breakdown always adds up to "Total".
FAQ
Is the defect rate from settings the same as actual defects? No. The setting is an allowance you build in beforehand. Actual defects based on printer data are visible in "Analytics → Production"; see Prints from printer data.
How do I avoid paying myself an operator rate? Turn it off in settings or set it to zero in the calculation.
If something goes wrong
The new rates did not appear in a calculation you have already started: apply them again via "Start over" or change them manually in the "Labor" block.
