Markup and its calculation base

How to turn on markup, which cost items it includes and what the empty-base warning means.

Markup is a percentage the calculator adds to the cost. The "Markup base" determines which cost items this percentage is calculated from.

How it works

  1. Open "Settings → Calculations" and turn on "Markup".
  2. Enter the "Default markup, %". It is filled into the "Auto" mode of every new calculation (you can change it within a calculation).
  3. In the "Markup base: what's included" block, tick the items the percentage is calculated from: material, labor, warehouse, packaging and delivery, electricity, equipment depreciation, consumables, post-processing.
  4. In the "Mandatory deductions" block, decide whether to also apply markup to tax and to the marketplace commission.

Important. Items you didn't tick are still included in the price, but at cost, without markup. Previously they weren't included in the price at all. The 9.0 app calculates the same way.

FAQ

Example? Material 100 ₽ is ticked in the base, packaging 20 ₽ is not, markup is 50%. Price: 100 × 1.5 + 20 = 170 ₽.

Where do I change the markup for a single order? In the "Cost breakdown", switch the mode to "Markup"; see Pricing modes.

If something is wrong

If the base has no item with an amount, a warning with a link to the setting appears next to the markup field. Tick at least material or printing in the base, and markup will work again. If the price still looks wrong, check that a printer is selected and that weight and time are filled in.
