Commercial proposal (CP)
How to build a CP from an order or from scratch, set its number and text, and send the client a link to approve it.
A commercial proposal (CP) is an offer to a client with line items and a price. It is available on every plan: on Lite and Basic the document comes out with a watermark and without your own text at the bottom, and from Pro on there is no watermark.
How it works
- Open "Documents" in the menu or the "Documents" block on an order page.
- Find the "Commercial proposal" card. Click the card itself (not the button): a settings panel opens with the number prefix ("CP"), next number, VAT, and toggles for the date, client details, logo, signature, item breakdown, document text and footnote. These values become your defaults.
- Click "Create". The editor has a live preview on the right.
- Choose a client (or "No client"), a date, and tick one or more orders: their items are pulled in automatically. You can edit and add lines.
- In the text you can use placeholders for client and company data; the editor hints include a list.
- Click "Save PDF" and the document appears in the client's folder.
Next to it there is a chain icon, "Link for client": send it, and the client opens the CP in a browser and clicks "Approve" or "Decline". See Client portal. You can also download a PDF or Word file, send it by email, or copy it to a connected Yandex Disk or Google Drive.
Frequently asked questions
Where do my company details come from? From "Documents → Company Details". See Company details.
Can I create an invoice based on a CP? Yes: document menu → "Create based on" → invoice.
If something goes wrong
A watermark on the PDF means your plan is below Pro. The document isn't being emailed: the email goes only to your own address or the email from the client's card (up to 50 emails per day).
