Printer monitoring: agent and cloud accounts
How to see the print status on the site and in the app: through an agent program on your network or through a Bambu Cloud or Anycubic account.
Monitoring shows the printer's state, progress and remaining time, and sends you notifications about completion and errors. A paid plan is required.
How it works
Method 1: agent on the local network.
- On the printer card, click "How to set up monitoring". Instructions and a token will open.
- Choose the brand: Bambu Lab, Creality K1/K2, FlashForge, Klipper/Moonraker or OctoPrint. The form shows what data is needed: the IP address; for Bambu, the serial number and the access code from LAN Mode; for OctoPrint, the API key.
- Run the agent on a computer on the same network as the printer (Python 3 is required). If you want, set up autostart.
- While the agent is running, the status refreshes every 5 seconds; if it is stopped, the status disappears after about 90 seconds.
The token is shown only once. If you lose it, click "Regenerate token". The old one stops working immediately and the agent disconnects.
Method 2: cloud. On the card, click "Link Bambu Cloud" (region, email and password, 2FA code, device selection and the 8-digit access code) or "Link Anycubic". This gives you telemetry without an agent, but without the camera.
Only the agent shows the printer camera. You can combine both methods.
FAQ
Do I need a subscription? Monitoring is included in the paid plans; print history and AMS require Web Plus, see Prints from printer data.
Can I see the status in the app? Yes, see Live status in the app.
If something goes wrong
The status disappeared: check that the computer with the agent is on and on the same network. The token isn't accepted: regenerate it. No camera: connect the agent, because the cloud doesn't stream it.
