Price and discount simulation
"What if" sliders show profit at a different price or discount without changing the calculation itself.
Want to know how low it makes sense to go when negotiating with a client? The simulation recalculates profit live without saving anything.
How it works
- At the top of the calculator form, tick "Advanced mode".
- In the "Cost breakdown" panel, scroll down below the "Profit" row — two sliders appear.
- The "Sale price" slider (0–200%) shows a hypothetical price and the profit at that price.
- The "Discount" slider (0–100%) shows the price and profit if you give the client that discount.
Both sliders take the selected tax and the marketplace commission into account, so the numbers are honest rather than just a linear percentage of the price.
FAQ
Does the slider change the order price? No. The values aren't saved anywhere. To actually give a discount, use the "Discount" field in the "Sale" block.
How do I remove the sliders? Turn off "Advanced mode" — the block is hidden.
Is there a simulation in the app? No, it's a site feature.
If something's wrong
No sliders under the "Profit" row — check that "Advanced mode" is on and that you're on the site. If the calculation is in "Price" mode and the profit is negative, the slider will show the same picture: fix the cost first.
