Calculator templates and drafts
A draft saves itself, a template you save manually. How to start a similar calculation in one click and what "Start over" does.
A draft is an unfinished calculation; a template is a starting point for repeat orders. Both are available on the website and in app 9.0.
How it works
Draft. As soon as there is input in the form, the calculation saves itself. Above the form you see "Draft saved · 10:42". The "Drafts (N)" button opens a list of your 20 latest calculations with time and device: you can open or delete one (with "Undo"). When a calculation goes into an order, to the warehouse or "For self", its draft is deleted. A draft is private: only the person who calculated sees it. With Web Plus it continues on another device (a "Continue" banner appears); without a subscription it is stored only in this browser.
Template. Click "Save as template" and a name based on the model is suggested. A template remembers the product and printing setup: model, materials, printer, dryers, labor, expenses, taxes, sales channel, price mode and services. It doesn't remember the client (unless you tick "Remember client"), notes, dates, status, tags and discount. Clicking a template fills in the form; your previous calculation isn't lost but stays in drafts. "All templates" offers search, renaming, "Update from current calculation" and deletion. A workshop can keep up to 50 templates, shared between the website and the app.
"Start over". Clears the form immediately, without asking. For 7 seconds you can click "Undo".
Frequently asked questions
Who can save templates? The owner and roles with the "Calculation templates" permission. Anyone who can see the calculator can apply templates.
What happened to presets and named drafts? They were moved to templates automatically.
The template couldn't find a printer or client. If the printer, material or client has been deleted, the template is applied without them and tells you what was missing.
If something goes wrong
- The template name is already taken: the website offers to replace the existing template.
- The draft didn't appear on the second device: without Web Plus it is stored in one browser only.
