Multi-model orders and model groups
How to build one order from several models, one at a time from the catalog or a whole folder, and see the calculation for each.
You don't need to calculate a case, a lid and a stand three times: combine the models into one order.
How it works
- Create model cards in the "Models" section. See Model catalog.
- To combine models into an assembly, open "Groups" and create a folder with the models you need.
- In the calculator, in the "Model" block, choose a source:
- "Catalog": you add models one at a time and set the quantity of each;
- "Group": you load the whole folder. The "Assembly sets" field says how many times to repeat the entire folder, and you can temporarily exclude a model you don't need;
- "Stock": you take a product that is already printed.
- The total weight, time and material cost are calculated as the sum across all models, taking quantity into account. The "Material by model" list shows the consumption for each.
- For multicolor printing of a single model, click "Additional filaments → Add" and enter the consumption of each.
If there is more than one piece, the "Price/pc" and "Profit/pc" rows appear in the panel on the right. After saving, the breakdown by model is visible on the order page: photo, quantity, materials and cost.
FAQ
How is "Quantity" different from a composite model? Quantity means copies of one model; a composite model or a group means different parts of one product.
What goes to the warehouse with "Save to warehouse"? For a composite model, the number of sets; for a regular folder, the total number of parts.
If something goes wrong
Material consumption doesn't match what you expect: check the quantity of each model inside the group and the number of sets. If models are not visible in "Catalog", make sure a technology filter is not turned on.
