Manual material price in a calculation
A quick calculation without choosing a spool: enter the weight and the price per kilogram by hand.
If you don't have the filament in your warehouse yet or just need a quick estimate, you don't have to create a spool. In the "Material" block for FDM there is a "Stock / Manual" switch.
How it works
- In the "Material" block, choose "Manual".
- Enter the weight in grams and the "Price per kg" (in the app with imperial units, per pound). You can leave the name empty, in which case the order shows "Filament".
- Continue the calculation as usual.
Good to know:
- the order is saved without a link to a specific spool;
- nothing is deducted from the warehouse;
- the mode and price are remembered in a draft, while a template saves the mode and name (in the app you need to enter the price again);
- for SLA, the resin is always chosen from the database.
FAQ
Why use this if I can create a spool? For one-off materials, rough estimates, and people who don't track a warehouse yet.
Will this consumption appear in the purchase forecast? No. It isn't linked to a spool, so it doesn't reduce stock and doesn't count toward the purchase forecast.
If something is wrong
If you don't see the switch, you have selected SLA technology. If the material price is zero after choosing "Manual", check that "Price per kg" is greater than zero.
