How the calculator works
Print cost breaks down into four parts: material (part weight × filament or resin price per gram/ml), electricity (printer wattage × print time × your tariff), printer depreciation (printer price ÷ lifetime hours × time spent on this part), and tax, if it applies to you.
For FDM you can also factor in filament dryer runtime; for SLA, the UV curing chamber. The customer price is calculated either as a markup over cost, from a target profit, or set directly — switch modes right in the calculator.
