Does the QR code really scan after printing?

The generator checks it before you download: it renders the top view of the plate in your filament colors, with the module style and icon, and reads it with the same kind of decoder a camera uses. Next to it is a picture you can test with a phone straight from the screen. The margin around the code is the required 4-module quiet zone.

Which shapes are available?

Accepted Answer

A flat plate, a desk stand (60–75° tilt, slotted base), a tent (code on both sides), a wall plate (countersunk screws, keyhole slot or tape recesses), a magnet (pockets for 6–20 mm magnets), a keychain with a loop and a mug coaster with a rim.

Do I need supports?

Accepted Answer

No. The plates print lying flat with the code up, the stand and tent bases are separate parts, the slot walls lean no more than 30° from vertical, and the magnet pockets and keyhole are open towards the bed.

Can I put a logo in the middle of the code?

Accepted Answer

Yes: ready-made icons (Wi-Fi, social networks and messengers, a review star, menu, phone, e-mail, website) or your own PNG/SVG, which becomes a black-and-white silhouette. Modules under the icon are removed, error correction becomes H, and the icon size is limited so the code scans with a margin.

How do I make a Wi-Fi sign?

Pick the “Wi-Fi” template: special characters in the network name and password are escaped automatically. You can print “Network: …” and “Password: …” in large letters below or above the code, the password is optional; long values are shrunk or wrapped.

What is the difference between an engraved and a raised code?

Accepted Answer

An engraved code is cut into the plate: the pocket floors are one color and the top layer another. The surface is flat (handy for a coaster), and a printer without AMS needs only one filament change at the given height.

Which module styles scan?

Accepted Answer

Squares, rounded, dots and connected rounded modules; the eyes can be square, rounded or round. Every combination goes through the readability check; if a style gets in the way, the generator warns you.

Can I make a negative (light modules raised)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in inverted mode the quiet-zone frame is raised together with the light modules, so the code stays readable when printed in two colors.

Question 9

What can I encode?

Accepted Answer

A link, Wi-Fi, a contact (vCard), e-mail, a phone number, an SMS or any text. Non-Latin text is stored as UTF-8 and phone cameras read it.
