The 3D model viewer won't open
Why the 3D preview may not appear and how to fix it: hardware acceleration, browser and graphics card.
The 3D viewer uses your browser's graphics (WebGL). If it is unavailable, you will see the hint "3D viewer unavailable" instead of the model.
How it works
- Turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings: Chrome, Edge: "System" → "Use hardware acceleration"; Firefox: "Performance"; Safari supports WebGL by default. Restart the browser.
- Update your graphics card driver and the browser itself.
- Try another browser or a window without extensions.
- Open the page in a regular window, not in the built-in browser of a social network or messenger.
Important: even if the preview doesn't work, everything else keeps working. Conversion, downloading STL, 3MF and OBJ, and size calculations don't require WebGL. An error in one block no longer brings down the whole page.
FAQ
Where is this viewer used? In the free tools (model viewer, converter, vase and lamp generators, lithophane) and in the thumbnails of the model catalog.
Which formats are supported? STL, 3MF and OBJ.
If something goes wrong
The hint stays after you turn on acceleration: your graphics card may be on the browser's blocklist. Open the page on another device. If it doesn't work there either, write to support and include your browser and device.
