Why not print the bowl itself?

FDM-printed plastic is porous: food residue and bacteria get stuck between the layers, it can't take hot water or a dishwasher, and regular PLA or PETG has no proven food safety once printed. So we only print the stand, and the bowl is a store-bought steel or ceramic one — easy to wash, and the stand never touches the food.

How do I measure the bowl?

Three sizes: the diameter at the rim (the widest point on top), the diameter just under the rim (where the bowl sits in the seat) and the depth from the rim to the bottom. A ruler is enough, calipers are better. A 0.8 mm clearance is already added; if the rim rests on less than 1 mm, the page warns that the bowl will fall through.

What height and tilt?

Aim for the top of the stand at the lower chest of the pet: usually 7–10 cm for a cat, 10–15 cm for a small dog, 15–25 cm for a medium dog. A 10–15° tilt toward the pet eases the neck and keeps a cat's whiskers clear. Pick “For whom” and the height and tilt are filled in — adjust them if needed.

What if the stand doesn't fit my printer?

Choose your printer: if the stand is wider than the bed, it splits in half down the middle. The seam has posts with holes for 3 or 4 mm pins in both halves; the pins are in the archive (or use pieces of rod). Glue the halves with plastic glue. If even a half doesn't fit, the download is blocked and fixes are offered.

How do the two parts go together?

The top prints upside down (top face on the bed), the bottom prints base down; neither needs supports. Above the wavy seam the bottom has a collar: the top slides onto it and locks into the wave, so it can't turn or shift. Glue is optional; a drop of plastic glue on the collar is enough.

How do I print it?

Accepted Answer

No supports: the cone's top prints upside down and the bottom base down; in the two-bowl stand the inner ceilings rise at 50°. PETG or PLA, 10–15 % infill, 3 walls. In the 3MF the parts are already assigned to filament 1 and 2.
