QR labels for orders and spools
How to print labels on the site and scan them in the app to change an order's status or write off filament with a single tap.
QR labels speed up work in the workshop: stick one on an order or a spool, and actions are done by scanning.
How it works
- On the site, open the orders list or the filaments table and click "Print labels".
- Choose a format: an A4 sheet (3x8) or 58 mm thermal tape.
- An order label has a short number (8 characters), the client, the due date and the model. A spool label has the type, color and brand.
- Stick the labels on and scan them in the app with the "Scan QR" button in the "Orders" section. See Scanning QR in the app.
Security. A QR code opens a record only after you sign in to your workshop. For an outsider, "Not found" will open. For an employee, the label leads to the workshop's warehouse. QR stickers for the built-in warehouse shelves work through the workshop's secret link: the owner can revoke all issued stickers with the "Reset link" button in the QR window. Old shelf stickers work until January 1, 2027 and ask you to reprint the QR.
FAQ
Do I need a label printer? An ordinary printer for an A4 sheet or a thermal printer with 58 mm tape will do.
What happens if I scan a label from another workshop? The app shows a clear message.
If something goes wrong
- The scanner says "not found": the order isn't synced to your phone, or the label belongs to someone else.
- The link from the label doesn't open the app: update the app and the site to the latest versions.
