Mercado Libre: connecting your own seller app

Mercado Libre connects through your own app in the developer console (DevCenter). We are not a middleman: you create the app, get an App ID and Secret Key, paste them here and allow access to your store on the Mercado Libre page. Setup takes 10–15 minutes, once. The connection is in "Beta".

Step 1. Create the app in DevCenter

1. Open the DevCenter for your country (for example developers.mercadolivre.com.br for Brazil) and sign in with the main seller account — not an operator or employee account.
2. Click Criar aplicação ("Create application") and fill in:
   • the name (up to 50 characters);
   • a short and a detailed description;
   • a PNG logo.
3. In Redirect URI, paste our return address. The connection form shows it ("Settings → Marketplaces → Connect → Mercado Libre") with a Copy button. Paste it exactly as is: Mercado Libre requires an exact match, and any extra character or space breaks authorization.
4. Scopes: read, write, offline_access. The last one lets the token renew itself.
5. Notification topics are optional.
6. You may enable PKCE — we support it.
7. Save the app and copy the App ID and Secret Key.

Step 2. Paste the keys and authorize the store

1. In the connection form paste the App ID and Secret Key.
2. Choose your store's country — the currency fills in automatically (BR — BRL, MX — MXN and so on).
3. Click Authorize in Mercado Libre. The Mercado Libre page opens: allow the app access.
4. You return to the dashboard and the connection appears in the list.

The token renews automatically: access lasts 6 hours, refresh lasts 6 months. If you changed the Secret Key or revoked the app's access, click Re-authorize on the connection card.

What works

• Orders: statuses and your store's currency appear on the kanban.
• "Fulfil": for Mercado Envíos a PDF label is downloaded; for your own delivery the tracking number goes to Mercado Libre.
• Stock and prices of listings: link a listing (or variation) to a warehouse product.
• Finances: the commission and shipping of each order go into the finance report.

We do not store buyer data (name, address).

What is not supported

• Cancelling an order as the seller — do it in the Mercado Libre dashboard.
• Sellers with a distributed warehouse (several warehouses).
• Publishing product listings.

Troubleshooting

• The Mercado Libre page complains about redirect_uri — the address in the app differs from the one in our form; paste it again, exactly as is.
• "Authorization failed" after returning — read the text next to it; most often the keys were mistyped or you signed in with an account other than the main seller account.
• The connection shows "Error" — click "Re-authorize".
