The "Packing" status

What the status between printing and delivery means, when an order enters it and how it relates to the warehouse and marketplaces.

"Packing" is the stage of assembling and packaging an order for shipping. It sits between "Printing" and "Delivery" and exists both on the website and in app version 9.0.

How it works

  • When it is needed. For orders that don't require printing or are already printed and are now being assembled: for example, from the finished-goods warehouse or marketplace orders.
  • Marketplaces. If an item in the order is linked to a product in the warehouse, the order goes straight to "Packing" and is written off from the warehouse. If the warehouse doesn't have enough, the order becomes "Confirmed" and is printed to order. After printing, you move it to "Packing".
  • Kanban and order. The "Packing" column is on the production board. On the order page it is the fifth step of the "ladder".
  • Materials warehouse. Material is written off when an order first reaches one of these statuses: "Printing", "Packing", "Delivery", "Done" or "Closed". If an order is started directly in "Packing", the write-off happens at that transition.
  • Marketplace. You can pack the order and create its label from the "Marketplaces" section (the "Pack" button, PDF label) when posting to the marketplace is turned on.

FAQ

A cancellation on the marketplace? The product returns to the warehouse automatically.

What about the old app? Versions before 9.0 show "Packing" as "Delivery" and don't roll such an order back. Update the app.

If something goes wrong

The order didn't enter "Packing" automatically: check that the item is linked to a product in the mapping and that there is stock in the warehouse. Otherwise it waits for printing in "Confirmed".
